The idea of pywb is enabling individuals and institutions to not only create but also serve web archives, publicly or for internal use.
Rhizome started using pywb in 2014 because I could install and run it in 10 minutes. It works fine with Rhizome's collection of net art, living up to the fidelity and detail required there, and scales up to national archives level. (The Portuguese Web Archive has deployed it here: http://arquivo.pt/ )
