(And yes, I know I could use LibreOffice for this, but based on previous experiences with an earlier version of the same template, the resulting docx files then end up misbehaving in MS Word.) #wtfMicrosoft

Another #wtfMicrosoft moment, as I just fruitlessly spent a good 30 minutes trying to create a #Microsoft #Word .docx document from a non-default .dotx template in the web version of Word.
Apparently this can't be done without using the Desktop version, which isn't going to help me on my Linux machine:
Also tried editing the template directly, but the online version won't do that either:
What a load of useless, time wasting crap!
Early 2020 I wrote this blog post about how #Microsoft #OneDrive exports malformed #ZIP files that cannot be unzipped by widely-used tools (this only happens for large, > 4GB ZIP files):
Fast-forward 4.5 years, and Microsoft *still* hasn't fixed this!
Just ran into this again with a 6.5 GB file! Luckily the Fix-OneDrive-Zip tool by Paul Marquess helped me out again:
For the last week or so, #Microsoft #Teams has been showing me this notification bar every time I log in.
I already switched to the "new Teams" 3 times (which every time involves a setup process that takes several minutes to complete), after which it switches back to the "old" Teams on the next login.
Never change, Microsoft, never change ....
Heads up: this might just have been me, but my Office 365 just switched over to saving everything in OneDrive by default,
So it just saved the files I was working on in a cloud service that isn't even supposed to be installed on this computer...
(There is an option you can check to "save on computer by default" so I think I have fixed this going forward. But arg. DO NOT MAKE MY PROGRAMS *LESS* USEFUL. Is this so much to ask?)
