15/52. Hector: Eurooppa (1981) 👍

44 years since the release of this record and where have we progressed? Nowhere.

Omassa kotona tuntuu suorastaan tuskallisen ajankohtaiselta.

14/52. SUAD: Waves (2021) 👍

I like the colour of her voice a lot.

Pidin Suadin uudesta singlestä ”Morning” paljon; tämä levy parin vuoden takaa ei vaikuta ihan yhtä voimakkaasti. Saattaisi toimia paremmin pienemmissä annoksissa.

I have decided that other than watch more TV this year, I will also force myself to listen to more vocal based music.

Recommend me songs. Preferably not in English or Mandarin or Cantonese. Preferably femme vocalist. Must not contain sharp vibrato, or anything opera-like (idk why I respond so strongly to that), or anything that sounds like the singer is masturbating while crying (think Maroon 5).

"[...] David Bowie watches multiple channels at once to decode humanity; in the 1980s, J Mascis gave the impression that his band Dinosaur Jr. was a side project, and his main interest was playing guitar while sprawled on a couch in front of a TV. Lennon and Ono were the originals of these slacker prophets."

Fact Check: This was never true of J Mascis. Yes he came to have side projects, but never saw Dino J that way.

BFIOne to One: John & Yoko review: New York state of mindUsing the couple’s own tape recordings and a patchwork of archive clips, Kevin Macdonald takes an intriguing show-don’t-tell approach to the first 18 months of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s move to New York in late 1971.
