Unpopular tech opinion: Docker is a really useful tool, but I suspect that the push to dockerize everything for local developer use is going to swing back when people realize they’re losing 2+ hours of battery life.
...or the growing insight that most dockers built by somebody else than yourself won't fit your needs. Like somebody wanted to save 64 kb by not including curl, or left off that one compiler switch on a tool that every distro has activated.
It's difficult enough to document existing Linux distros, but now every dev kinda builds their own.
